Rechecking opening hours and reservations before travelling
Saved opening hours are a snapshot. Before departure, recheck the details that could materially change the shape of your day.

List the fixed commitments
Collect the booked and time-limited parts of the trip: transport, accommodation access, a museum, a guided visit and the journey home. An open-ended walk does not need the same checking effort as a timed entry. The list should reveal important dependencies rather than catalogue every possible activity.
Put the official information page beside each item. A search snippet or old review may still show regular hours when a special arrangement is approaching. Check the actual date, not just the weekday. Public holidays, events and seasonal closures can interrupt the normal weekly pattern.
Separate opening, admission and reservation times
A building may stay open into the evening while its final admission is earlier. A guided tour may meet somewhere other than the general entrance. Read the information for the particular experience you booked. Do not transfer conditions from a nearby venue or a different tour to your reservation.
Check the confirmation as well: the correct number of people, date, language and meeting time where applicable. If a booking portal and the operator show different information, resolve the contradiction before visiting. Save the reply with the reservation so the group does not plan around different versions.
A useful note identifies the entrance, your intended arrival time and the latest point at which you should leave the previous stop. That turns opening hours into a workable part of the day. Include the walk from the station or car park to the actual door, not merely the journey to the surrounding district.
Replan only the affected parts
Check the transport connection separately. Deutsche Bahn advises that conditions can change and that a connection should be checked again regardless of whether a notification has arrived. The absence of an alert is therefore not sufficient evidence that everything remains unchanged.
If an appointment moves, first identify its direct consequences: an earlier departure, a shorter lunch break or a different return route. Do not immediately cancel every reservation. It may be enough to shorten an optional walk or exchange two flexible parts of the programme.
Give everyone one updated version. Old screenshots should be recognisable as superseded. On the travel day, you can then revisit the changing details without starting the entire research process again. Keep contact information somewhere accessible even when a search engine or mobile connection is unavailable.
